Who are we?
Created in 2015 by Roche & La Paillasse, Epidemium is a scientific exploration program complementary to academic research. Its ambition is to push forward knowledge in the fight against cancer by organizing cooperative "data challenges".
Previous editions have demonstrated the value of collaborative research. By bringing together heterogeneous communities and varied ecosystems, this collective intelligence has made it possible to explore new scientific territories and make the best use of available datas.
This book, available online and on paper, was written by the Epidemium team and a pool of contributors, with a purpose of reflecting on the program's successes and failures.
